This is a rowhouse duplex, inspired by equal parts This Old House and a street in Chicago I went down on Street View one time. It’s definitely an inner-city rowhouse, with really no opportunity for landscaping, but there’s some greenery outside the ground floor window.
The furnishings are very basic; just an indication of what I had in mind for each room. The sitting room on the ground floor could just as easily be a master bedroom with walk-in closet, or a dorm-like room full of bunk beds for those oddly large families.
