To all the Trekkies out there past and present, including my old friends from high school who attended every convention they could, pointy ears and all, this one is for you. On this, the 50th anniversary of the original series, I give you James T. Kirk, the Captain of the Starship Enterprise.
Barely out of the Academy, Kirk is about to embark on the challenge of a lifetime, to explore uncharted regions of space in the state of the art Starship Enterprise. It will take all his diplomatic skill and cunning to keep the Enterprise and the people under his command, safe from unimaginable perils. Join him and his fellow officers as they travel through space, discovering new worlds and building alliances with never before seen races of alien beings.
All this without having to suffer through even a single bland replicator meal, or that queasy- shaky feeling you get there’s a cloaked Klingon ship coming at you at warp seven and Scotty, for the umpteenth time, has no clue what is wrong with his “wee” engines.
Wait. What’s that sound? Not another red alert! For Pete’s sake it’s four in the morning! (Ropes himself to the bed in an effort to keep from rolling onto the floor, but falls over anyway.) I just don’t get it! If space is, well, mostly space, why do we keep bumping into stuff?
