This is a simple xml mod that increases the cost of NPC services to feel a bit more realistic. (If a sim can afford to hire a nanny that cooks or a maid to pick up after them, they can afford to pay them a living wage.) I’ve been using it in my game for a while and thought I’d share it for anyone interested. It increases costs for maids, repair services, nannies, butlers, and gardeners.
Breakdown of changes:
BG Gardener fees: $50 upfront then $30 hourly –>Modded Fees: $75 upfront, $30 hourly
BG Maid: $40 upfront then $20 hourly —>Modded: $80 upfront, $25 hourly
BG Repair Service: $100 upfront then $10 hourly –>Modded: $150 upfront, $25 hourly
BG Nanny: $60 upfront then $10 hourly —> Modded: $80 upfront, $30 hourly
BG Butler: $175 upfront then $12 hourly —> Modded: $250 upfront, $30 hourly
The only conflict that I know of would be if a mod edits the same tunings for service NPCs upfront and hourly costs.
tunings edited include:
ServiceNpc_gardener_Service
ServiceNpc_Butler
ServiceNpc_Maid
ServiceNpc_Nanny
ServiceNpc_Repair (Published on: 2022-09-12 12:00:00)
